Iraq officially in civil war (Matt Lauer calls it)

    by mumbles

NBC News decided to start calling the war in Iraq a civil war. Well, then. The LA Times had the best response out of anyone, pointing out that it “was the first major news organization to formally adopt the description,” when it began to refer to the situation in Iraq as a “civil war” on 10/7/06, “without public fanfare.”

    At your request

    by Hiram Johnson

After much hub-bub from my friends and family today, I have decided to join myspace at their request. At first I was wary of myspace because of the television reports that it is a haven for child molesters and gang members, but my family says it’s a great way to stay in touch. If you would like to touch me, check out myspace.com/blogontheinternet. Child molesters need not apply.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    The next great President

    by Hiram Johnson

Every 77 years there is a great president, says the old saying.  You start with Washington and then you have Lincoln 77 years later. Then FDR, I guess (can’t win ‘em all). Then you go 77 years and now we have George W. Bush
