Holidays really don’t have a point. Neither do birthdays or long distance phone calls. Holidays are cultural constructions, inventions to help pass the time, a release. But we always proceed as normal, knowing that it’s right and feels nice. We do it for others, for the elderly, for the children. We do it for the Jesus.
